Founded in 2017, the management of La Ceylon Spice comprises of a power duo whose goals and visions have been coupled together from the inception.
Co - Founder’s story
Before the recession hit our shores, Sri Lanka was well on its way towards becoming a developed nation. And then the economic crisis arrived. Due to rising prices of essential items, many Sri Lankans left the country, while the rest of us decided to stay back. The farming populace in particular, were affected drastically, while most farmers were forced to skip cultivation entirely.
There is opportunity in every crisis….And Sri Lanka is a treasure trove of delectables, ravished by the rest of the world. We are blessed with an abundance of resources, farming talent, and exotic food.
Agriculture is key for economic transformation, food security, and nutrition, and plays a critical role in achieving long-term sustainability and growth while ending hunger, poverty, and malnutrition.
I co-founded La Ceylon Spice so that I could contribute towards the acceleration of economic growth, by reaching buyers in overseas markets. This will help empower farmers financially, and strengthen our currency. Our mission is to thrive collectively, as one unit.

MEET THE MANAGEMENT
A culinary expert with over 3 decades in the Restaurant business and over 15 years of hospitality and food service experience, Mrs. Fernando’s visionary offering of growing, manufacturing and exporting 100% organic spices and condiments to the global market is what sets her apart from her competitors.
With a clear goal in mind, La Ceylon Spice was formed to disrupt the Export Spice market in Sri Lanka and Mrs. Fernando brings forward her extensive Management, Operations, Manufacturing and HR skills to the table.
Pramosh handles areas of global business such as sales, logistics, and compliance. He is responsible for the logistics of getting the goods to the buyers in other countries and for ensuring that the goods meet the required standards of the importing country. He is in charge of managing relationships with international buyers, vendors, and business partners and negotiating contracts and is the go - to person if you’d like to place your orders with La Ceylon Spice.
